The Wealthy Place Ministries Leadership

The Wealthy Place Ministries is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Bishop Bill McDonnell

Pastor

Overseer Bill McDonnell

Pastor Bill McDonnell is a man with a heart for the people of God, whose ministry is highlighted by his service to people. Pastor Bill, as he is affectionately referred, assumed the reigns as Pastor of Ebenezer COGIC, (now known as Wealthy Place Ministries, COGIC) in 1995. He is a visionary leader, not only for The Wealthy Place, but for the entire community.

Pastor McDonnell accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1971 and rose steadily through the ranks, accepting the call to the ministry in 1978. If there is a phrase that would characterize Pastor Bill, it would be "Born Leader." In 1988, his leadership qualities facilitated his promotion to Youth Pastor for Vegas View COGIC, a position he held until 1995. His enthusiasm, commitment, and dedication to leadership, have permeated his pastoral endeavors and the pattern of promotion, so typical in the early years, continues to manifest itself today.

Throughout the years of his service to our Lord and Savior, Pastor McDonnell was elevated to President of the Nevada State Ways and Means Committee in 1998, Superintendent of the Nehemiah District in 2003, and Administrative Assistant to Bishop Caruth Hall in 2008. In 2011, Pastor McDonnell became the President of Churches of Southern Nevada and in 2012, during his tenure as Superintendent, he inspired the development of Kingdom Builders Bible Seminary, a fully accredited institution, located in Las Vegas, NV.

Pastor McDonnell's leadership inspired and expanded the Nehemiah District, which consisted of approximately eight ministries and in 2015, received a Doctorate of Divinity. In addition to being a phenomenal Pastor, he has also owned and operated a successful construction company and excelled in all administrative, educational, and ecclesiastical endeavors that God has assigned him.

Pastor McDonnell is happily married to a dynamic woman in her own right, Lady Alma Faye McDonnell, who served as the Supervisor of Women for the Nevada 1st Jurisdiction. Pastor and Lady McDonnell are the parents of three children, who along with their families, are also working and committed to the vision of The Wealthy Place.

Pastor Bill McDonnell is an innovative, anointed, high spirited, creative thinker and has a heart for and love for the people of God!
